Our Story..
How it all began..
Global Surf Club began with a typical club surf trip made by a landlocked surfers living in London. Hours were spent corresponding to multiple surf club emails, text messages to coordinate a departure location from London, checking forecast websites to find the best surf spot and booking affordable accommodations for the weekend. During this trip, one of our surf club members suggested that all these logistics should be automated and put into one system. We decided to implement this idea and built a platform for our existing club to carry our spirit, ethos, and passion to surf as much as possible. Our goal was to use technology to make trip planning and club organizing much easier and to grow our spirit locally and globally.
While most surf clubs offer the social aspect and provide their members with connectivity and the ability to surf more, we wanted to do more. Our core members knew that we had the passion to grow more members like us who want to surf as much as possible, whether it's for a day, weekend, or a trip abroad. Creating Global Surf Club gives a home to members who love being a part of a surf club with the ethos and framework that can be translated through our members and supported by technology, no matter where our members are in the world.
Global Surf Club was not born to be a technology. It was born to provide the ethos and framework required to organize great surf trips and manage and grow surf clubs.
Our members are committed to supporting all ocean sports lovers of all levels, abilities, and identities to surf more by supporting each other in and out of the water.
