About Global Surf Club

Global Surf Club is a cutting-edge mobile app platform designed for surfers, ocean sports enthusiasts, and surf club organizers. Our mission is to connect the global surfing community through ride-sharing technology, integrated surf forecasts, real-time communication, and surf club logistics management. We successfully beta launched our MVP in March 2024, and we’re experiencing steady growth. Now, we’re looking for a passionate CTO to lead the next phase of our development and scale our platform to the global surfing & ocean sports community.

The Role

We are seeking a CTO Surfer—someone who not only possesses technical expertise but also has a deep understanding of the surfing lifestyle, ocean sports logistics, and the needs of the surfing community. You will be responsible for leading all technical aspects of Global Surf Club, from backend architecture to mobile app enhancements, ensuring the platform is scalable, high-performing, and engaging for users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Leadership: Oversee the entire technology stack, ensuring the platform remains innovative, stable, and scalable.
• Product Development: Lead the technical development of Global Surf Club, enhancing current features and rolling out new functionalities for surfers and clubs.
• Backend & Frontend Development: Hands-on coding and architecture design, ensuring seamless performance across MS .NET, React Native, Firebase, and mobile app technology (iOS & Android).
• Team Growth: Build and manage a world-class engineering team as we scale.
• Security & Data Management: Ensure the security of user data and manage Firebase integration for optimal app performance.
• Surfing & Ocean Sports Expertise: Leverage firsthand surfing experience to align tech development with real-world surfing needs.
• Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with the founding team to shape the product roadmap and technology strategy.

Who You Are

• A Surfer & Tech Enthusiast: You must actively surf and have a deep appreciation for ocean sports logistics, as our platform revolves around these elements.
• Full-Stack Developer: Strong experience with MS .NET, React Native, Firebase, iOS & Android mobile app development.
• Startup & Leadership Experience: Ideally, you’ve been part of an early-stage startup and understand the fast-paced, dynamic nature of startup environments.
• Strategic Thinker & Problem Solver: Ability to align technology with business goals, scale operations, and optimize user experience.
• Passionate About Community Building: A desire to revolutionize the way surfers and ocean sports enthusiasts connect and organize through technology.
